How to connect xtool to lightburn

I'm testing Lightburn on my new Xtool. The Xtool run just fine with the XCS program. I've installed Lightburn and the additional file., several times. I've found older posts about the system being paused or busy. I've gone to the console to see if i get the welcome greeting. All I get are lines of scrolling lines of code. Any ideas
