I have just replaced the 5R55E transmission in my 2000 Explorer 4.0L 4wd and am having the exact same problem!! I just had a "new" used tranny installed (102000 miles from a junkyard) by my mechanic and now I am getting a blinking O/D light intermittently, and DTC codes P0705, P0708, P1704.
