Flashing green light cox modem

Activated this new modem about 3 weeks ago. While it works fine, every few days the blue DS light will start blinking. I can still access the internet but the light will continue to blink until I turn off the modem, wait a minute or so, and then turn it back on. Everything is fine after that.
