I successfully replaced the timing chain in my, new to me, 2010 Traverse with 147k miles. It always ran great, but had the P0008 and P0017 codes present. The old chains were all stretched, particularly bank 1 (closest to the firewall) and the bottom primary chain as indicated by lots of looseness on the smaller sprockets.
